About the scheme

This is a collaborative project between Gallagher Estates and Lands Improvement Holdings. Both companies - individually and in partnership - have an established track record of delivering successful and sustainable projects that benefit their local communities.

We purchased the decommissioned power station site in 2002. Since acquiring the site the joint venture has committed over £5 million for local community infrastructure and completed the Blandford Road link - we are fully committed to this project.

Our vision is to create a new sustainable neighbourhood inspired by and rooted to the existing communities of Hamworthy and Poole. The neighbourhood is divided into 5 distinct character areas and each has a role to play in forming positive links with local people. Together they will give the new neighbourhood its own richness and quality that will make Holes Bay a great place to live and visit.

In January 2012 we submitted an outline planning application for the site. The application will seek to establish the principles of this exciting development.
